We began the day, with a visit from the resident cat…Bobbie would not like to stay here!!! After a very nice breakfast, we started out for another day of exploring. The day was overcast but at least it was not raining.
We decided to go north and drive thru Spearfish Canyon and then head to Deadwood. The scenery was very pretty but would probably be more spectacular if the sun was out
After a stop at Walmart to replenish our supplies and replace my netbook mouse..my old one took today to die….we headed to Deadwood.
Deadwood still has some resemblance to an old west town but it is mainly filled with casinos. We stopped at Saloon 10 and watched a reenactment of the shooting of Wild Bill Hickok by Jack McCall.
Last stop for the day was Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Deadwood’s Historic “Boot Hill”. Here we visited the final resting places of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane.
Tomorrow will be our last day in this area. Hoping that the weather clears as there is still so much to see.
